Builders and Butchers, A Cool New Local Band

Builders and butchers, Portland Anchorage is through a form of folk tale can be quite fascinating – at least, intense. The band was recently awarded the Willamette Week best new band, the prestige that it was granted to the band as Talkdemonic, trembling hand, and Menomena, and it certainly deserves. Ready to fight the current top staple Northwest folk story-driven close Decemberists, or even Neutral Milk Hotel, builders and butchers weave compelling drama in his music, focusing on terror events, including the typical folk music, the gallows, dance with demons, the lake bed, slow trains and so on, but seemingly without issue, trivial, or even, such as imitating the tried and true method. Builders and the butchers are complex, banjo-driven folk is completely fresh. Absolute condemnation of this band live, the sight to behold – and absolutely amazing.

You can witness all this Thursday night December 11, Showbox at the builders and the butchers play with Amanda Palmer and the Danger Ensemble.
